Tactillity of Feelings

The Tactility of Feelings series is inspired by the texture of hand-dyed gauze and paper, as well as the abstract impression that the sense of touch leaves within us.

The creation of these works was triggered by accumulated daily feelings which, after filtering, leave a refined trace – whether of pure and simple calm or the density of layered impressions reflected in the composition of each painting. Most of these sensations contribute to the atmosphere, tone, and content of the work, even if they are not literally incorporated into it.

Each piece focuses on mastering the softness and fragility of the material, portraying a quiet connection between the hands and mind. In the calm of the mind that prevails in this process, every impulse of touch is transformed into an image made from hand-dyed gauze, paper, acrylic, and oil paints.

The delicate, fragile, and tender sensations provided me with a link to abstracting that subtle, dry impression they provoke in the mind, serving as inspiration for this body of work created using mixed media. Over 50 paintings are part of this series, which continues to grow. The compositions are arranged like a woven tapestry.
