In this series of small-format paintings, the identical pose of a nude male body initially served as a means to explore color, though it equally provided the opportunity to experiment simultaneously with rhythm, drawing, and geometric shapes.
The paintings are characterized by a cheerful mood where male bodies are viewed in various ways – as a clown, boudoir adornment, alpha male, guardian, chess player… This diverse perspective on the theme allows for the development of varied plays on surface, structure, lines, and colors. Each painting adds to the theme without any routine repetition.
This series consists of 33 paintings created with watercolors, acrylics, and acrylic pastes. Unlike other works I create and continue to develop in parallel over decades, it has a defined beginning and end.
