The human body continues as a central motif following the Timeless Existence series and after my one-year specialization in Indonesia, where I studied wayang traditional painting from Central Java.
In the In the Heart of the Sun series, which was conceptually developed and some pieces started during my stay in Solo, the body increasingly embodies the quality of spirit – a space filled with options, ideas, decisions, and dreams, rather than just matter.
I focus on the inner atmosphere shaped by abstract moments – whether from our thoughts or the electric impulses of life itself.
Using two or three of the same photographs allowed me to explore color and drawing in the rhythm of a repeated body position. The series consists of 8 smaller-format oil paintings and 27 drawings on paper.
