Compass Mosaic 2020, in the public area of Porto Montenegro, Tivat, Montenegro
The project involves the creation of a mosaic with a total surface area of 9.4 m², from the conceptual design to the final execution. In addition to the main front side, the mosaic image also includes the side surfaces and the upper wall, where the decorative compass composition flows seamlessly.
The traditional mosaic technique is a craft whose challenge lies in both its mechanical and contemplative nature. One stone is placed next to another, then another, and another, until the meticulously planned mosaic image emerges. Every move is made with the rhythm and flow of the design in mind, along with the shade and size of each stone, to create a clear image of artistic value.
