Adam (2008–2011) is a collection of small format paintings that I utilized as a springboard for my color investigation. The identical naked man’s body posture served as the foundation for the color studies, allowing for experimentation with repetition, patterning, and cubist geometric shapes.

Male bodies are viewed in a variety of ways, including as clowns, jewelry, alpha males, guardians, etc. It’s a lighthearted take on the topic, and maybe it’s just a game of surface, structure, lines, and colors. Each work of art gives its own viewpoint on the theme. Nothing is routine or predictable.

This series has a beginning and an end, unlike other everlasting oeuvres that I have created and have continued to develop for decades in parallel.
